OCS

OCS (Overseas Courier Service) was founded in 1957 as a joint venture between the five major newspaper companies of Japan: Asahi Shimbun, Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkei), Daily News, Tokyo News, and Yomiuri Shimbun. In 2009, ANA (All Nippon Air) purchased from these companies all their shares, giving it more than 70% of total stockholdings, and officially ordained itself as Asia's largest international courier service. Currently, ANA has established an air freight transfer hub station at Naha Airport in Okinawa, Japan, where it transfers all cargo to and from Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, and various other areas, providing superior next day delivery and greatly enhancing its competitive strength. With ANA's full support and the overwhelming advantage of a giant airport at a great location, it is to be expected that OCS will bring it considerable business opportunities. Today, its courier service reaches 400 plus major cities across more than 100 countries, placing it among the world's top five courier service companies.

Presently, UCF offers extensive international outbound and inbound courier services.
